All of our paddlers will be racing on a 250 to 300 Meter waterfront course along the shores of the St Johns River in Downtown Palatka. Participants will include community based teams, club teams and corporate teams from all over Florida.
This event brings together a wide variety of activities that foster health, wellness, sporting as well as the arts community.
On Saturday April 18th at 9 AM we kick off the festival with our opening ceremonies then live music, arts and craft vendors, local food vendors and much more.
Teams racing in the Dragon Boat competition will challenge each other in a number of categories to win trophies at the end of the race day. (4 pm completion time estimated).
You can join in and form a Dragon Boat Team of your own by enlisting friends, neighbors, relatives, co workers, non profit organizations or businesses. Each team needs 10 paddlers and one drummer to keep the pace going.
On Saturday, our Festival also includes many local vendors that sell jewelry, artwork, sports related products, clothing and amazing food creations.
So come join the festivities as a team member, vendor, or spectator. Its great family fun for all ages.

Explore Putnam is proud to create and promote great family friendly events for everyone in the Putnam County area and beyond. Each of our events will adopt a specific local charity that will benefit from our efforts. As a Putnam County, family owned business, we want to bring our community together in a positive and supportive way.
This year we have adopted God's Kitchen in Palatka as our charity supported by the 2020 Dragon Boat Festival. Last year, God's Kitchen delivered over 50,000 hot meals to Putnam County residents that were homebound or in need of nutritional meals on a weekly basis.
