April 18th 2020 - Event Has Been Cancelled

The Palatka Dragon Boat Festival

What To Expect On Race Day

All of our paddlers will be racing on a 250 to 300 Meter waterfront course along the shores of the St Johns River in Downtown Palatka. Participants will include community based teams, club teams and corporate teams from all over Florida.

This event brings together a wide variety of activities that foster health, wellness, sporting as well as the arts community.

On Saturday April 18th at 9 AM we kick off the festival with our opening ceremonies then live music, arts and craft vendors, local food vendors and much more.

Teams racing in the Dragon Boat competition will challenge each other in a number of categories to win trophies at the end of the race day. (4 pm completion time estimated).

You can join in and form a Dragon Boat Team of your own by enlisting friends, neighbors, relatives, co workers, non profit organizations or businesses. Each team needs 10 paddlers and one drummer to keep the pace going.

On Saturday, our Festival also includes many local vendors that sell jewelry, artwork, sports related products, clothing and amazing food creations.

So come join the festivities as a team member, vendor, or spectator. Its great family fun for all ages.
